Kristen Keegan (Alberta, Canada) is an artist currently living in Bergen, Norway. Through a practise in painting, she investigates the slower, unifying aspects of seeing.  Where visual clarity is reduced, other senses are heightened.  Engaging a few materials in focused conversation, her works are perceptual studies largely grounded in colour.  More recently, her attention has been toward botanical dyes as a source.

Keegan completed her Master’s in fine art at UiB’s Faculty of Art, Music and Design in 2019 and has since exhibited at venues including Entrée, Kunsthuset Kabuso, LNM, Konstepidemin, Årsutstillingen, Høstutstillingen and Hordaland Kunstsenter. She has participated in residencies such as Mustarinda in Finland and Messen in Øystese. Her work is held in public collections including the University of Bergen and KODE museum.
